
Erynn Christensen, PhD

Erynn Christensen, PhD, is the Principal Investigator of the PCOSandUs Study, which examines the relationships between endocrine and metabolic disruptions and neurocognitive functioning in women with polycystic ovary syndrome. Her research investigates the influence of sex hormones on neurocognitive function, with particular interest in how endocrine disruptions associated with reproductive health disorders and aging affect brain and cognitive functioning. Her recent work also explores cognitive disruption and brain fog during the menopausal transition.
Dr. Christensen is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Psychiatry at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center with a joint appointment at Harvard Medical School. She also serves as Chair of the Organization for Human Brain Mapping Student and Postdoc Special Interest Group.
Before joining Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Dr. Christensen completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Feinstein Institutes for Medical Research, Northwell Health. She earned her Bachelor of Psychological Sciences with Honours and completed her PhD in 2024 at Monash University in Australia, where her doctoral research focused on the neurocognitive correlates and predictors of addictive behaviors.
