Adolescent Program Overview
For young people living with PCOS/PMOS and students interested in health, research, policy and innovation, the adolescent symposium offers a structured, collaborative experience grounded in patient partnership. Participants will begin with a case study, selected evidence and input from experienced professionals, then work in Policy or Innovation Lab teams to examine a defined PCOS/PMOS challenge and develop a practical response. The program gives patient participants and adolescent students an opportunity to contribute to the problem-solving process together, while introducing a collaborative, patient-partnered approach that participants can carry into future policy, research and innovation work.
Participants will choose from a set of case studies focused on defined PCOS/PMOS strategic challenges, then use research, patient insight and structured problem-solving tools to develop and present an innovative, practical solution.
Participants will choose from a set of case studies based on challenges from the PCOS Challenge National Health Policy Agenda, along with selected research, patient insight and stakeholder perspectives. Working in teams and with guidance from state legislators and experienced advocates, participants will evaluate policy options, develop a practical policy recommendation and present their ideas for discussion and feedback.
