Azadeh Houshmand-Oeregaard, MD, PhD

Azadeh Houshmand-Oeregaard, MD, PhD, is a physician-scientist and clinical development leader with more than 10 years of experience advancing cardiometabolic drug development programs from early-phase development through NDA submission and launch. She is currently Principal Medical Director (Executive Director) at Roche/Genentech, where she leads clinical development of an amylin and incretin combination program in partnership with Zealand Pharma.

Previously, Dr. Houshmand-Oeregaard held progressively senior roles at Novo Nordisk, including medical lead on the oral Wegovy NDA, Strategy Lead for Obesity and MASH and Department Head leading a team of hepatologists and physician-scientists in liver health. She earned her MD and PhD from the University of Copenhagen.
