Holly Van Hare | PCOS/PMOS Awareness Symposium 2026 - Boston Speaker

Holly Van Hare, MA

PCOS/PMOS Advocate and PCOS Challenge Patient Advisory Board Member

Panel Topic: PCOS/PMOS Patient Perspectives on Improving Care and Treatment Experiences (Voice of the Patient Report)

Holly Van Hare is a PCOS/PMOS advocate and member of the PCOS Challenge Patient Advisory Board. She was part of the team that helped design the survey informing the PCOS Voice of the Patient Report. She has also served for multiple years as a New York Regional Leader for PCOS Advocacy Day and on the Patient Experience Initiative Committee of the PCOS Challenge Patient Advisory Board.

In 2020, Holly was diagnosed with PCOS/PMOS after a decade-long struggle with unexplained symptoms. Her experience navigating diagnosis and care strengthened her commitment to self-advocacy, education and helping others affected by the condition.

Holly is an educator, academic and writer living in Brooklyn, New York. She works as Director of Program Enhancement at The Boys’ Club of New York and formerly served as Director of The Listening Project, a research-based intervention in middle and high schools that promotes human connection and seeks to disrupt dehumanizing stereotypes through a method called “transformative interviewing.” Holly is also a poet and former health journalist and fitness instructor. She received her master’s degree in Experimental Humanities and Social Engagement from New York University, where she studied education and sociology, focusing her research on how cultural biases hinder access to and affect learning experiences for diverse youth. She has participated in research on trauma-informed and preventative health education programs, inclusivity in education and anti-oppressive pedagogy as a tool to combat inequity.
