Study Title

The Supporting Understanding of PCOS Education and Research
(SUPER) Study

Study Description

Participants in the SUPER Study follow one of two promising dietary approaches for PCOS: either a DASH diet (which includes whole grains, lower fat dairy, fruits and vegetables, and lean proteins) or a very low carbohydrate (‘keto’) diet (which cuts out most sugars and starches). If you join, you’ll be randomly assigned to one of these two diets, both of which appear helpful for people with PCOS. You will be part of an online program with videos, text messages, resources, and cookbooks. Additionally, you will get inspiration and advice from a coach who will help you as you make changes to your way of eating and lifestyle and help you learn about making long-lasting habit changes fit into your life. As part of the study, you will complete study measurements at the start of the study, and then at month 4 and month 12. These will include a blood draw, an in-person appointment, and some online surveys.

The goal of this program is to compare different ways of eating for PCOS to see which diet better helps polycystic ovary syndrome.
