Panel Topic: PCOS and Mental Health
Nina Makhija has been working in mental health as a therapist for almost 20 years. She is trained as an Art Therapist and a Licensed Professional Counselor and works in the Philadelphia Area. She attended Oberlin College as well as Drexel University. She works with teenagers and adults. Nina was diagnosed with PCOS in her early 20’s and enjoys working with PCOS clients. She believes that physical wellbeing and mental wellbeing are strongly related. She believes that growth does not have to be a painful process and integrates creativity and humor in therapy when appropriate. Nina has helped past clients navigate through anxiety, depression, grief, trauma and relationship issues. She uses an integrative approach to help clients identify their goals and make steps towards reaching them.
