Daphne Yin
Panel Topic: The Empowered PCOS Patient – Advocating for Our Priorities
Daphne Yin is a lover of forests and nature, born in Minnesota and living in DC. She leads climate and sustainability services at Indufor North America, where she advises on strengthening the resilience of forest landscapes for people and nature. She holds a Master in Environmental Management from the Yale School of Environment, and a Bachelor in Political Science from the University of Chicago. On the side, she practices as a certified forest therapy guide, and serves as a Steering Committee member for the Women’s Forest Congress.
Daphne was diagnosed a decade ago with PCOS. It was not until Fall 2022 that she connected with a community of others like her for the first time at the PCOS Symposium. There, she was able to process shame and get answers to questions she had been holding onto for decades. It was the first time she truly educated herself on the evolving science and how far-reaching this illness is in the body, reinforcing the inadequacy of the healthcare she had received. In March 2023 she attended her first PCOS Advocacy Day. She also ran the LA Charity Half Marathon as part of the first official team to ever run for PCOS at a major marathon, backed through PCOS Challenge.
