Panel Topic: The Lived Experiences of PCOS Patients

Maureen is the founder of PCOS Vitality, an Ireland-based non-profit supporting individuals with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) through resources and community initiatives. She works in Special Education, is a published author, and edits the “PCOS Insights” e-magazine. Maureen contributed to the 2023 PCOS International guidelines and co-created the first PCOS-focused computer game with Prof Michael O’Reilly and team, RCSI, to improve awareness and education. She serves on the UK’s Research Priority Setting Partnership for PCOS with Verity, is an Expert Reviewer for Rethink Mental Health, and participates in the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists Women’s Voices Panel. Holding degrees in Psychology and Health Psychology, Maureen has presented her research on PCOS and menopause at academic conferences.
