Panel Topic: Hope for the Future: Advancing PCOS Care and Treatment
Dr. Lynsey Johnson, DNP, APRN, FNP-C founded PCOS Sisters Telehealth Clinic to help women like herself who have suffered lifelong with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS), while struggling to find a healthcare provider who understood the condition. PCOS affects 10-20% of all women globally! Who better to treat PCOS than PCOS Women Nurse Practitioners. PCOS Sisters’ Treatment Program is truly designed and delivered by PCOS Women. PCOS Sisters Telehealth Clinic was established with the goal to diagnose and treat women with PCOS across the United States utilizing the latest evidence-based practice methods. Telehealth has provided the means to reach women from the comfort of their own home, no matter where they are located. The PCOS Sisters’ treatment plan is achieved through expert diagnostic labs, metabolic optimization, medical management of symptoms, and empowerment of PCOS women through community support. No longer should lack of insurance or long distance be a barrier to care that often involves multiple specialists, high deductibles, and copays. PCOS Sisters currently serves the States of AZ, FL, GA, NM, NY, TX, UT, WA and VA, with more states to come! Learn more at www.pcossisters.com
Dr. Johnson has also developed the PCOS Sisters’s Telehealth PCOS Metabolic Weight Loss Program ™ backed by an early program evaluation study in collaboration with Emory University School of Nursing, entitled “Weight loss effects of semaglutide in combination with lifestyle changes in obese PCOS patients utilizing a telehealth care delivery model”. This study will be presented at the 2025 23rd Annual Meeting of the Androgen Excess and PCOS Society (AE-PCOS). She has also developed a PCOS Screening Tool for patient self assessment and digital PCOS screening via EHR integration for providers/health systems.
