
Tania Burgert, MD
Panel Topic: PCOS In Adolescents
Dr. Burgert is board certified in pediatrics and pediatric endocrinology with expertise in polycystic ovary syndrome, obesity, and insulin resistance. She is Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Missouri-Kansas City and Director of the Multi-Specialty Adolescent PCOS Program. Previously, she served as Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Yale University School of Medicine and Director of the multi-specialty PCOS Clinic at Yale-New Haven Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Burgert is the director and founder of the multi-specialty adolescent PCOS at Children’s Mercy in Kansas City, MO. Her research focuses on examining the clinical course of PCOS in adolescents. Dr. Burgert is currently on the Board of Directors for the Androgen Excess PCOS Society and she is the co-chair of the PCOS SIG (special interest group) for the Pediatric Endocrine Society. She also serves on the medical advisory board for PCOS Challenge.
