Chevese Turner is a Binge Eating Disorder and PCOS advocate. In 2008, Chevese founded the Binge Eating Disorder Association (BEDA) recognizing the need for an organization to advocate on behalf of individuals affected by binge eating disorder (BED) and the providers who treat them. In 2018, BEDA merged with the National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA) to unify the eating disorders community and improve access to services and support across the entire spectrum of these illnesses.
Chevese is an award-winning activist and speaks regularly about her journey with BED, PCOS, weight stigma, and the need for recognition of and access to care for those with eating disorders. BED occurs commonly in people with PCOS.
