Anne Waichigo
Panelist : PCOS Experiences Around the World
Anne Waichigo PCOS Foundation of Kenya is a support organization advancing the cause for individuals with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) in Kenya. The foundation was officially formed in 2019 and has 120 registered members, with around 400 women conversing on WhatsApp and Telegram. The foundation was formed from a need of creating awareness and also for the women to have a platform where they can engage with other women living with PCOS. The founder; Anne Waichigo has lived with PCOS for 13years. The foundation was birthed 3 years after she came out on a TV interview to talk about how infertility caused by PCOS had made it difficult for her to conceive. After the interview many women living with PCOS reached out to her as most were suffering in silence. The Foundation intends to create an avenue for people to learn accurate information, get support and to empower themselves as advocates for the cause.
