Kathleen M. Hoeger, MD, MPH

Professor, Ob/Gyn, University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry

Session Topic: Creating a Lifestyle Plan for Managing PCOS: Nutrition, Exercise and Stress Reduction

Dr. Kathleen Hoeger is Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Director of the URMC Fertility Center at the University of Rochester. A reproductive endocrinologist and clinical investigator, her career has focused on improving diagnosis and management of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) across the lifespan—from adolescence through adulthood. She has led and collaborated on numerous clinical and translational studies examining ovarian morphology, metabolic health, and lifestyle interventions in PCOS. Dr. Hoeger has served as President of the Androgen Excess and PCOS Society and as a member of the International PCOS Network, contributing to the 2018 and 2023 international evidence-based guidelines for diagnosis and management of PCOS. Her work continues to advance understanding of the condition’s pathophysiology and to promote multidisciplinary, patient-centered care for women with PCOS.
