Dr. Foster is an Assistant Professor at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She attended medical school at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She completed residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, Arkansas in 2016 and then completed pediatric endocrinology fellowship in 2019 from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, Tennessee. She then went on to join faculty at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in July 2019. Since becoming faculty, she helped initiate the multidisciplinary adolescent PCOS clinic at Children’s of Alabama, becoming the director at its inception in 2020. She has published numerous manuscripts in the field of insulin resistance and her current research interest in PCOS include establishing adequate biomarkers for adolescents with PCOS and evaluating mental health outcomes in adolescents with PCOS
