|Dear PCOS Challenger,
Learning that you have a chronic condition such as polycystic ovarian syndrome is never easy.
You can become burdened with fear, worry, depression and anger. One of the trickiest things about PCOS is that there is no one answer for every woman and this adds to the frustration. However, it is important to try to be patient with yourself.
For so many women, navigating through a life that includes PCOS has taught them much about acceptance and patience and has fueled the desire and determination to pursue health and happiness. Patience with themselves, with doctors, with family and friends and strangers; acceptance of the things that are beyond their control; and the determination to do what it takes to regain as much physical and emotional health possible, are some of the qualities that drive these women.
Read the articles from two courageous women with PCOS who are now dedicating their work to help other women to cope with PCOS and navigate through life's journey.
Thank you for reading and stay encouraged!
In good health,

Symptoms typically include recurrent ovarian cysts, excess hair growth (or hair loss similar to male pattern baldness), acne, skin darkening, difficulty losing weight, and, of course, trouble getting pregnant. Often, the condition is not accurately diagnosed until failure to get pregnant results in referral to a reproductive endocrinologist, who has specialized training in PCOS and other endocrine disorders.
